In my research I've found them described as walrus tusk and bovine bone. My money's on the cow bone. But, what do you all think?

Found this with a simple question search: "Whole cross-sections of walrus tusks are generally oval with widely spaced indentations". So probably walrus, unless cows have oval-shaped bones.

Not traditionally. But we all know that tourist trade money can make a lot of unusual things happen.

It may just be wishful thinking on my part. I can't sell ivory.

Walrus Ivory falls under the Marine Mammals Protection Act, I think is it only 6 States that have included it in the total ban of all ivory. Might be worth checking out the information, you might be able to sell it locally if you don't want to use Ebay.

    ....
sitting within the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge,

    so , no...they couldn't.....

And they’re domesticated animals, so they’re meant to be managed by humans.

I really hate it when in 2024 there are still folks who think that humans can or should manage the natural world......after the cock up that we have done !

Either build a McDonals on the island...... or for the billions of cows that we've eaten.... let these guys live...and let live !!

Ebay doesn't allow Walrus ivory specifically. And that's where I sell.
