    Jen,
    I have cropped your photo.
You don`t need to add the picture to the gallery, just put it within your post by clicking "Upload a File"

Welcome Jen. I assume you mean the clasp is marked. The maker of the clasp is not likely to be the maker of the necklace. A good quality clasp & the knots between the beads suggest the beads themselves may be better quality but do not guarantee it. As Holly wrote, there are too many other stones that can look like this, either naturally or with a little help, for us to make a confident determination of jade/not jade. The way the ends of the strand have been finished off make me think this was assembled in China. They are so good at imitating all sorts of things, I would be wary.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I have a question?? Are pearls and jade stones usually separated by silk knots? I know they are separated by knots, but do they use silk? IF SILK, would it be unusual to see so many frayed ends as are showing in the Lovely necklace above??

    Welcome again jenjewlz.
As you already know from the other thread:
"WW was the maker's mark (hallmark) for a company that she worked for in the 80's based in Seattle...World Wide Imports...importers and distributes of akoya pearls from Japan and jadeite from HK..."

I cropped the photo and gave it a bit more definition to see structure of the stones:

Still can't see very well, the structure looks messy, which would indicate jade. But this one makes me wonder if it is a quartz-like stone:

If it is jadeite, it is bound to be of Burmese origin, most jadeite is. China uses Burmese jadeite jade and native (and other) nephrite jade.

AJ, :woot:great work in enhanced pics! (This kind of pics some unscrupulous sellers use for selling pale jadeite...)
I too think it is Burma jadeite, only not of the most desirable color.
A fake would have been enhanced, and look alike other stones show other structure, spots and color.
Silk thread is often used for necklaces, it is souple and resistant, but can show some fraying where silk fibers of the thread are shorter (don't kow if this makes sense...)

Thanks very much for your help & information... The stones are cold to touch. Also the necklace feel weighty.
