I have a question about the gold marks on a necklace clasp

I got this necklace clasp as part of an auction lot. It's marked DELTAH 14KT.

I see people selling things marked this way as gold but it's not what I'm used to seeing on pearl necklaces. It's usually sterling if anything. Is this really 14KT white gold? IMG_0811.JPG IMG_0812.JPG

Thank you. I saw a lot of those in searches. But, if other sellers are anything like me, they often repeat what they see online. And it's not always correct info. I thought some who are familiar with old jewelry could ease my doubts.

If the pearls pass the tooth test, I see no reason they would not be given a 14K clasp.

There are only a few small pearls but I'll try it.

Deltah made rhinestone and faux pearl necklaces. They might have used some real gold clasps along the way, since the metal was regulated at one point and not that expensive. Sterling ones turn up on glass pearls all the time.

Some faux pearls, like La Tausca, were pretty fancy.

Majorica use gold and silver findings on their fake pearls too.
