I bought several boxes of what was supposed to be someone's collection of small things. There are a lot of dollhouse minis, charms, Cracker Jack prizes, little dolls, and more. I have been so, so happy because I love minis!

Anyway, I came across these advertising pieces and don't have a clue what they're supposed to be. Anyone seen these before? Any help is greatly appreciated!

They're wooden dowels with a hole throught the center. The bird and Santa are on metal rods with a nail type head on the other end. The rod can turn.

The Santa one says "Santa Claus is whistling for you" and "Wanamaker's Toy Shop".
That made me think it was some kind of whistle but I don't see how.

    anundverkaufen thank yu very much!

Mine appear to be worn out and don't make noise but they're still cool!

Wanamaker's was the department store, of course, and apparently Cherry Bark was a brand of Rexall's.

When I was a kid I had a few, I would put pin tar in them to bring them back to life. I think it was suggested back then to use violin rosin.
