I have been told this wardrobe is 1850s...is this correct?

    My initial reaction is Edwardian and English. Could be a bit earlier but don't think as old as 1850.

    Pictures of the construction like hinges and drawer sides and interior really would help a lot. Im with Brad,and its a lovely piece indeed.

    I agree with Brad. Classically English Edwardian. A chap's wardrobe.

    welcome michelle....nice wardrobe suggest English, Sheraton revival period from 1890 to 1910....save some money to fill it up now...a girl can never have enough clothes.... that is what my wife says....regards pewter2

    I'm with pewter, it could even be slightly earlier than Edwardian.

    Hi, late Victorian to early Edwardian, they are called compactum wardrobes here.
