Hi im a newbie and have grown up in antiques. My parents have an actual antique room at their house that was very spooky growing up with! My family is from italy so they collected antiques but never really knew much about them, i now collect antiques and want to know everything about them! I need help sometimes researching and am looking forward to networking with some people and making new friends with my interests. Im very excited i found this website!

I'm a fan of NW Coast First Nations and native american art, vintage toys, old books....musical instruments...

 

Wow! I just seen all these responses! Makes me happy i also love books, im the crazy lady you see picking up boxes of books from peoples garbage enraged they would throw away history like that! I give them away free to anyone who can use them. Plus i really dont like seeing people waste and over fill land fills

I've yet to see a land fill, that's not already overfilled..!

 

The worst is they just cover over it and all the toxins seep into our water and pollute our lands. I live near elyria ohio and theres a street there that houses were built across from what they now discovered was a landfill. All the resident s have been ill and dying of cancer and other crazy diseases. Its a sham, i try hard to do my part.

 

I've never recycled more , than I do today !
My wife even washes all the things that are food related before they go in the bin.

That said Montreal is set to dump 8 BILLION liters of untreated waste water into the St. Lawrence river over 7 days ( saying there's no other choice..) .

Makes me want to just throw my old batteries out on the street !!!

 

I recycle like a maniac! I wash everything out too, i compost, i donate, i do whatever i can to help the earth. I can not believe that about montreal! Thats so crazy, that effects everything not just fish. I cant stand the politics of it all! I dont understand why china and other countries are recycling tires for so many uses including roads which is brilliant, but the united states does nothing! California uses them for roads now but so many states barely utilize them when there are billions of dollars in grants for that purpose. Ignorance isnt always bliss, theyll burry us in garbage soon.
