I bought this at an estate sale out of Atlanta.

The room its in is 15x15 so the rug is roughly 12x9'

It really did take me a moment to figure out which side was the top side and honestly Im still not sure if I have it right :bag:

Anyways, the colors are still very deep and there are very very few worn spots.
I wish the camera picked up the rich colors better than it did, but alas...
And please excuse the dog hair. Once our fence was built I moved them outside and *thought* I cleaned well enough before I laid the rug down, but with two german shepherds there will always be hair. :dead:
(So if anyone knows how to pull it out... :D)

The tag is hanging on by a few threads. It reads
    Kara Kirman
    Reg. US Pat. Off

I can't really help much but here is a newspaper ad from 1936 for Kara-Kirman rugs though not specifically this one. I have a similar rug (currently in storage) that I think is Sarouk. Unless I'm mis-remembering I think they were popular in the 1920s or so.

I'm sure someone else will have a better idea.
