Featured I think easy question, is this Jasper?

Just double checking, is the stone in this jasper? Some kind of stone, not plastic. Set in 925. Thanks.

 

Some kind of banded agate, I'd say.

 

As @Ownedbybear says, looks like it may be agate. You can check by shining a light through, if it's translucent it's most likely agate, if it is opaque it's likely red jasper. Both are different forms of quartz, here's an explanation of the differences. A lot of it is simply linguistics to describe the visible forms built up over the centuries.

Did the light test, conveniently this has an open back setting for such a test. In general all were completely opaque but a tiny, tiny line showed the light through one striation. What do you think?

 

Jasper banded with agate then. Jasper and agate are the same thing aside jasper having more impurities making it opaque, both are microcrystalline quartz and both are types of chalcedony. Jasper and agate are very commonly found together in the same veins, so makes perfect sense to have them together in the same stone as with yours.
