    Hi All,
I think I found a goodie, 15"L and sparkles like diamonds (yes, I know they aren't diamonds:)). Lots of wear on the back, some nibbles along the edges, but the stones are so clear. Set in sterling, there is a mark on the clasp, (looks like a tree to me) that I can't find. Does anyone know the silver maker? Early 1900s?
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

Absolutely gorgeous, definitely older. (Thinking 20s, maybe a tad earlier.) I've never seen one quite as detailed as this, never seen a double chain connecting open backed pieces like this. Also nice, the details on the sterling setting that holds the pieces. Stunning. One wonders, maybe rock crystal...? Fantastic that it is clearly marked sterling and hope someone can ID that maker's mark.

Thanks Lucille:) Yes, from searching around I see single strands but didn't find any doubles, would love if it was rock crystal:) I'm amazed at how clear the stones are!

Search Ebay under "open backed crystal necklace", order from highest first which will pull up antique/vintage pieces. The better ones (and this is a better one) do very well. The fact that it is marked sterling, decent sized clasp, is going to help bring the price up.

    Love it! :)

Can you please take a close up of the mark only? I think I see letters, but it could be nothing.
    PF?

If the stones are too clean, they are probably man made quartz.

Thanks INH:) could be my eyes, but I'm not seeing any letters. I'm not sure it even looks like a tree up that close:)

No letters, does not look so much like a tree now either.

It's not a Pools of Light necklace, but it's a kissing cousin. Yowza.

maybe a sheath of wheat? Birks is Canadian and I'm in Canada, so maybe Birks? On smaller pieces maybe they didn't use all the marks

thanks Jivvy:) I don't know anything about paste jewelry, just trying to read up on it. The necklace in the link Lucille posted is paste which got me wondering. I'm not sure if mine is old enough to be paste? More to read:)
