This piece has been sitting on the shelf for ages & I have looked all over for a mark with no luck. My first thought when I saw it was one of the Heisey Colonial / Flat Panel patterns. I have looked through all of my Heisey books & searched for crushed fruit, tureen & punch. I need our resident Heisey expert to tell me yes or no so I can either buy the thing or get on with my life. :p:p:p

I forgot to measure it, but my guess is about 11 to 12 inches to the top of the handle & 9 to 10 inches across the bowl.

Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!!:kiss::kiss:

Sorry, it's not from Heisey. I don't recognize it all all. Don't buy it thinking it might be Heisey, buy it if you like it.

With that slot I would think it would be for wassail or some other type of punch you wanted to keep warm. Most of these are European - I can't think of any company in the US that produced them but I could wrong.

The only reason I would have bought it at all was for resale & that is why I wanted to know for sure before pursuing it any farther. It can just stay there collecting dust as far as I am concerned. I no longer buy on speculation unless it is extremely cheap. :D:D:D

Since he gets many estates from military families who have been stationed all over Europe, there is a very good chance that this came back home with someone.

You never know someone might come along here & know who, what & where.
