Id a pair of marble objects

    Hello friends,

    in a lot of various objects, bought at auction 2 years ago, (Rome, Italy)

    there were these two objects in marble.

    Can you help me understand what they are, what were they for and the period ?

    H cm 15.5

    W Kg 2.235

    Once part of a clock garniture, I suspect with bronze figures on top. Animals perhaps.
