My first thoughts, it appears to be a Chinese pewter offering bowl, likely used in ancestral rituals or ceremonies. The inscription around the rim would provide more specific information about its purpose, family and origin. Maybe someone here can translate for you. Maybe late Qing or early ROC period.

but maybe just a(if they’re correct)…https://www.liveauctioneers.com/ite...e-inlaid-pewter-food-warmer-late-19th-century :);) this might be leaning more to the catering company insignia found on the duck(j’king). Ok just let others chime in, it’s late.

I uploaded the texts Google Lens, which translated it as: “The marks in the image are the signature of Genryusai Seiya, a highly regarded Japanese metalwork artist from the Meiji period (1868-1912). He was known for his intricate bronze okimono, which are decorative sculptures often depicting scenes from Japanese life or animals. The top seal reads "Dai Nihon Genryusai Seiya Tsukuru" (大日本源龍斎誠哉造), meaning "Made by Genryusai Seiya of Great Japan". The bottom seal reads "Seiya Saku" (誠哉作), meaning "Made by Seiya". The seals are often found on the base of his works.” Of course the AI generated translation would need to be confirmed. Would someone please confirm - or not? Thx

The characters in line 2 inscribed around the bowl, per translate.google.com ( 羽蛋要讀云 ) mean “… ‘Feng carved it for the Mo family and Zhou family.’ This suggests the inscription was made by someone named Feng for two families, the Mo family and the Zhou family. It might be a dedication on an object, such as a bowl, that was engraved or carved by Feng for them,” possibly referring to the jade & carnelian stones on the cover. Note; I have a second such bowl with a different incised text that has not been translated.

The usual AI nonsense I'm afraid.
I don't see this as being Japanese, and certainly not by a highly prized artist like Genryusai Seiya.

This is a typical Genryusai Seiya bronze sculpture:

    And this is his signature:

For comparison, the marks on your Chinese pewter footed bowl, which are not even remotely close:
