Found this over the weekend. It's 6 inches high by 6 1/2" wide, and weighs a whopping 3 pounds 2 ounces. Can't find a sig or stamp-could've been on the box, or maybe just a cheap garden center piece ?
Has a very rusted feel to the glaze, like Corten steel-but it's not at all powdery the way actual metal rust would be.
All any feedback re Potter & area made would be great.

I used to have a pot much like it. Mine was a florist's pot, made in Germany. 60s or 70s, IIRC.

Even though mine was a florist's pot, it could be worth something now.;)

Thanks for the input AJ,without a chop mark-it def could be a cheaper florist piece,it was $5. What surprised me was how heavy it is-but then bricks are heavy too !
What's still a good deal (here in Oregon), is MCM German/W. German pottery. I guess much of it's considered generic 'studio pottery' by collectors ?
$14.99 Etsy (whole group). I get it's not some wild Fantoni one off,but $3 ea ?

The above conversation w/ AJ's a good example of logical sane discussion. I may really REALLY want this to be a valuable antique 19th Century Bizen Ikebana piece-but there's a good chance it aint !
PS-We always have to careful about getting a bit delusional about our 'goodies'. Day dreaming's fun-taking it too far is a psychosis.

We need dreams, but we also need reality.:)

Quite true in all facets of life-personal finance, politics, relationships. I've seen some fine folks here lose it a bit over what they dream they have as opposed to what the other 99% of the population believe it is.

AJ-I know as a diligent scholar, you fight exaggerated marketing sales pitches all the time-'2 guys on Ebay list it as this !'.
    Good luck Amiga !
