    View of the Roman castles

    oil painting on canvas board

    35 x 24 cm without frame

    40 x 28 cm with frame

The signature is very small, and faded, below left.

I would need your help to understand the letters

Thanks a lot for your help

Looks amateurish to me. Some parts of the painting appear to be ok other parts look on the sloppy side. The signature might be initials but too faded out for me to even guess.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

Can you circle the area where you believe there is a signature?

I may be looking in the wrong area, but all I see is cracked paint.

Is Opodelio Goron a name? That is as close as I can get to this one as far as I get deciphering. Anyway, that is what I see but didn't find anything.

Hi, I am going to send some photos of them made in macro function, and two more, one with high exposure (light) and one with low exposure (dark). We calculate that this signature is very small, less than 2 cm (see photo), and that those "lacerations" actually have a size that varies from 1/10 of mm up to 1/3 of mm (from 0.1 mm to 0.3 mm) being an old cardboard canvas, I think this also helps us for a rough dating. Personally, I seem to read P. Rosi, or B.Rosi but I am probably wrong. Better to know your opinions :)

bit of a stretch that :) i suppose a brush stroke could look like brosi, or absolutely everything else if you wanted to see it badly enough !!

Neither do I. I think it is just an unsigned painting of a charming view of the Lazio countryside.

Hello AJ!! Nice to see you back So you both think that I'm under the effect of the Pareidolia? Lol probably you're all right btw yes it's Lazio but not exaclty country side (I live there) it's the panorama viewed from the Roman Castles (Rome) Lazio
Thanks to you all from the Pareidolia's man lol

Nice to see you too, Gian.:)
We all suffer from pareidolia occasionally. Best is just to enjoy it, you can see wondrous things.
