My first thought was antelope with those horns, but the tail isn't quite right. Could just be a stylized beast of some sort, but I figured if anyone would know, it would be you all.

It looks like a horse to me with some sort of ribbons floating from the headstall, kind of to match the other fancy saddlery. Sort of like this.

some kind of goat/antelope fantasy beast. Not a horse, as it looks like there are cloven hooves.

Could be a lot of things I guess but it does appear to have a mane.

I hadn't even noticed the mane!

Demonic reindeer might be a good angle to play as there's nothing about it that sets it apart keyword-wise! LOL.

    Thanks everyone.

It's a pretty accurate depiction of the Brazilian rain forest Tree Buck, an extremely rare upper canopy dwelling beast, less than a foot long, depicted in typical pose as it leaps from branch to branch.
It lives on tree frogs, baby birds, and ripe Yechha fruit and is revered by the Imabulshite Indians as an ancestor spirit, to the extent that whenever they find one that has fallen to the ground due to sheer carelessness (a species characteristic that has helped ensure their low survival rate),they either bury it with great honour, or return it to the treetops, whichever is appropriate.
So endangered is the species that all mention of it has been excluded from Google and Wikipedia to prevent predation by members of the Rare Breeds Dining Club, or the "Pandaburgers" as they are commonly known.

This one looks quite a bit longer than a foot. I wonder if this was before he fell or after the Imabulshite Indian returned him to his proper place?

It just dawned on me what this reminds me of. The "Star Steed" pattern on Sascha Brastoff ceramics. He did design jewelry too. Some of his jewelry pieces I was able to find were very similar in conception to this piece. Possible new avenue to explore.

Interesting! I can see a similarity in form there.

Alas, the brooch is currently in a running lot. After looking it over, I really didn't see anything in the way of quality to it, so I just tossed in a lot.

But I will say that when I was bidding on the lot that it was in, I kept thinking that I had seen it somewhere before....maybe it just reminded me of the Star Steed pattern.

Even though it has a mane and no beard, it has more goatish characteristics. I think those wavy things represent horns. Let's just say the artist used his/her imagination on a hybrid creature. Or it's the horse from hell.
