    I'm wondering if this is possibly Southwest Native American. Does anyone recognize the hallmark? The symbol to the left of "STERLING" is hard to tell what it is. Also, what kind of stone is this? The size is about 1" across. This is likely vintage (1950's-1970's), but I'm not real sure of that.

    On the top photo does it look like a "fog" on the top edges?

    It almost looks like maw-sit-sit

    Looks more like azurite malachite.

    I think the " fog" is just reflection from the white table reflecting on the stone.

    Azurite malachite would have both blue and green in it. I don't see any blue.

    Although there is a little bead of glue visible along some of the edges where it meets the silver, most of the fog in the first photos are reflections I think. Here's a photo of the top edge that shows the foggy area from a different point of view, and also a photo showing the back, which I should have included earlier.

    Yes, almost.:) I see ochre flecks, which I haven't seen in maw-sit-sit.
    Maybe jasper? There is a green and black African jasper, which can also have some earth tones.
