Featured Identifying 19th Century Photographs Types

    Can anyone help me to identify my old photographs?

    Abdel, yours are prints not photographs. If you do an internet search using the information printed on them (title? artist? publisher?) you should be able to identify them. If not, please post close-up photographs of that information and someone here will be sure to help you. Please know that their condition is not very good; they appear to have foxing and stains. If you are planning on selling them, despite age, value may be low (unless they are rare.)

    What size are the prints?
    They may be pages take from a book and then framed.
    The condition is poor, which will lower value.


    Just for future reference, bold type is considered shouting in a forum.

    First picture "V. Thoren pxt" and "W.unger sct"
    second "A. Ducotes Lithog. Establnt,, 70, St,, Martin's Lane" and "Morning"

    The signature incorporated into the second print looks like L. Cooper to me.

    Could be L. S. Cooper, followed by 37, which number would probably be the date (see the center bottom printing info "Published London ... July 1st 1837.")

    Ummm...Isn't it "ALL CAPS" , that's considered shouting..?

    YES thats right, the name of artist is Thomas Sidney Cooper "T.S COOPPER DATED IN 1937"
