Identifying Artist's Signatures

    Can anyone help to identify pencil signature on an etching.

    Yes, please. The full work including frame both front and back. Also close-up photographs of any stickers, labels or handwritten notations that might appear on the back.

    "Vieux Chine" is the French translation of "Old China" so you should look in that direction for your artist.

    It doesn't look like her work or signature, but the letters look somewhat like Marie Laurencin's last name.

    I read Vieux Chêne, Old Oak. Probably referring to the tree.
    The farmhouses look Belgian too.
    Or southern Dutch, but with a French title and Belgian frame shop Dutch would be unlikely.;)

    Good eyes! You're right re Vieux Chêne, of course. Not a Chinese scene, old or otherwise. (May finally be time to finally fill that prescription for reading glasses.)
