View attachment 93475 View attachment 93476 Is it wishful thinking on my part, or is it possible that the young lady on the right may be Helen Keller?

The penciled note on the back is difficult to read, but the contrast improved with a red filter. It is signed "Helen", but I just don't know . . .

Not same gown. Your has buttoned lapel; hers doesn't.

I agree the differences are too much for it to be Helen Keller, but it's still a great photo.

The photographer's signature looks like 'Hgeufritz Balto'? And does the message say 'With bestest love - - original, Helen'?

Yes! And the photographer is 'Ilgenfritz' - I found an advertisement in a Johns Hopkins student newsletter dated 1907:

    Which makes sense, doesn't it?

Thank you, everyone. I agree, there are just too many differences. Close, as they say, but no cigar.

Pretty darn close. The eyes are what really tells. In yours, she's very obviously looking ahead. Helen Keller's eyes always looked different.
