    Hi everybody!

Yesterday I have bought 4 opaline perfume bottles.
Problem is, I have went ove my budget a little bit. :p
I just had to bid on it, till I finally won the lot.
(By phone bidding on a French live auction)

    Now...
The bottles themselves are kind of rare.
I have seen multiple, but as far as I can see, most of 'em are
owned by the same antique dealers.

I have 2 opaline books (since last week, when I bought my 2nd),
in which these bottles can be found.

If in absolutele perfect condition, which mines are not, these bottles are very pricey, and most of all very rare and beautiful.

But.... like I said. Mines are not... Two of the bottles missing their caps.
And one of the bottles has visible wear to the guilding and enamel.

My best hope is to at least create 1 close-to-perfect bottle,
and one "a little less, but still a good piece".

The bottles are made in France.
    Early 19th Century. Ca. 1820.
    Opaline/Opaque Glass.

2 of the white bottles + the blue one are opaque glass.
The other white one (with the most wear) is translucent, called "Bulle de Savon"-opaline.

These exquisite bottles, made in the French restoration period, are designed, or at least, painted by the Frenchman "Jean-Baptiste Desvignes".

Google his name for more information, and beautiful pieces.

Now, there are caps for these bottles, which are kind of easily recognizable.
If anybody in his lifetime would ever come across a spare one, (I wouldn't bet it on it,) please keep in mind that you could make me very very very happy with it.

I just wanted to share this.
As soon as I receive them I will make some new pictures, and I'm able to really see how much wear the bottles are having.

Thank you for your attention, and also please visit/follow my Etsy-shop if you're interested! During my crisis since yesterday, all prices have been lowered greatly :p :p

    Thank you !!

R, you can enter the name of your shop in your account so it shows at the bottom of all you posts. Don't ask me how, I've never done it, someone else may know.

Just took a look, very nice.
The figures on the tray you have are Japanese, btw, not Chinese.;) Looks like Japanese made too.
