Featured Imari Palette Basket -English?

Hello Board Friends - I was able acquire this basket a few months ago for $2. I was thinking it might be English Imari but now I'm not so sure. The pattern seems simpler than any English examples I can find. It measures 8 3/8" long, about 4 3/8" at its widest, and about 2 3/4"to the top of the handle. There is a marking on the bottom but I can't figure out whether they are letters or some type of cypher. The colors are a bit sharper than the pictures show. Any help on identifying the manufacturer or country of origin would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I think you may well be right thinking it's English. Looks rather like Davenport's style of Imari to me.

Ohh lovely. My grandma had one, not sure if it was the same pattern. I never saw her use it, it was sitting on a cart all the years in her dining room.

 

The poor little thing looked abandoned on a table in an otherwise unremarkable flea market. Whatever it was I knew it was underappreciated. I don't think it was ever used; the condition is excellent. I'm going to hold onto this one for awhile. Thanks everyone for your help.
