Impressionist painting signed Shields

    Hi all,

    Does anyone know which Shields painted this? I tried matching up sigs with as many artists with that last name as I could find online, but no luck.

    Also, does anyone recognize the setting of the scene? France?

    They were my first thoughts too. The whole style, signature and frame point that way.

    Agree with the others. The signature would be spurious.

    Agreed that this is a factory painting. They often use those frame liners, the staples on the back say newer, the signature being red, the style and image type...
