Featured Interesting Chinese Asian snuff bottle - is it worth something? How old?

    Very nice Chinese snuff bottle. Its around 6cm high. Made from metal probably bronze and gold and silver plated. Doesn't look cheap, Is it worth something? Any ideas how old it is?

    It is Japanese, but could have been made for the Chinese market. Not sure it is a snuff bottle, despite its size, but it is a beauty.

    Great. I was also not sure about the Chinese provenance. I also do like it. The stopper is missing and now it looks like a small vase.

    I don't think it had a snuff bottle style stopper, but rather a tiny domed lid, maybe with another animal on top. Like 'lidded vases'. But it still looks cute the way it is.
    Looks like there could have been a maker's mark on the base, inside the footrim.
