Featured interesting, probably unnecessary, and expensive!

There was an article in our local paper this week about this guy... Perhaps some of you are familiar with his work, but I certainly wasn't. His name is JOHNNY SWING, and he makes furniture out of COINS!

Great story!! I covered my tiny kitchen floor by gluing down pennies. I cleaned it with vinegar which made it smell nice and polished the pennies. if any came loose I glued down replacements. I tried with with a countertop but had to do too many replacements too often.

I'm guessing he welds them together with an "iddy biddy" welder or maybe just melts them together with a small torch.

I think you are both wrong. It's the shape that defines comfort when seated although it would be bloody cold in winter.

I've definitely seen this video before, maybe even here. I'd rather have this than the furniture, but it looks like a goshawful amount of work.

 

If you'd poured on the Bar Liquid Laminate, you'd have had it for LIFE!!!!!!!

 

That furniture is beautiful, quirky, but very well designed. It looks comfortable, provided you're wearing your winter woollies.

 

Sat on 2 of his benches at the Storm King Art Gallery (Hudson Valley) last month. Actually very comfortable. But, it was May, not January.
