Introducing myself

I'm Colin, I've held many jobs in my life but am now retired. I live in West Yorkshire, UK, and love antiques. I have many lovely things handed down through the families and also some charity (Thrift) shop finds. Love old furniture but despise 'upcycling' and where possible return items to their original state, however if it is just signs of age and usage, I eave it alone as that is what gives a piece its character. I like to think of the history of a piece and what it's been through, who's handled it etc. With that in mind, it's why I've joined this forum, so I can get advice and also possibly help others - that sounds so poseur but I hope you know what I mean. I look forward to 'meeting' you all.
