    Hi all,
I have had this piece for a few years and have just got it out of my storage area.
I was wondering if anyone has any further information on it.
It is signed Peter Pitseolak, who was an Inuit carver, artist, photographer, from I believe
Inqualit. He was born in 1902 or 3, and died in 1973.
I have attempted to find pieces of the same size as this one, and have not been able to locate one as yet. The piece is 14" tall, about 5" across, and about 3" thick, it is carved on both sides with different, but similar faces. It weighs in at about 10 lbs, and is made of serpentine. I do not know the Inuit cyrillics, so have no idea of date or any other that is written on it.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Bill
