    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Can't wait to see what the experts think. I find it very pretty but then Mexicans are renowned for fondness for pardon-the-word kitsch. I kinda bet people will want to see a shot of the base and maybe the hinge-mechanism... or whatever moves when you use it. If there were any doubt, I have now shown that I know nothing about lighters.

I'm curious why you call it "iron", Mak. The pink looks like enamel.

It is cast iron Pink is just a paint.
Its very heavy. The lighter part goes out and the body might be used as ashtray.
    I'll put some more photo...

Johnny, having just Googled "Hollywood Regency", yeah... I can see Joan Crawford holding that thing, saying "No more wire hangers!"

It's a butane lighter, so not so very old. The only butane lighter I ever sold had a nice design, but the buyer said it leaked like crazy. (They weren't really put out because it was so cheap.) Test it if you can.

It's not iron, but pot metal.

Just my guess - Most likely Japanese in origin.

Yes. Now that I inquired what pot metal means, I can say you are right. It is pot metal.
