Got four of these panels around the bases of a pair of "cast bronze" candelabras which have a pineal finial on each. Not sure what the panels represent nor where and when they were made but I like the beehive style holders. Each has a unique number underneath (AA365 and AA367) that may indicate a collection number but there are no makers marks that I can see. Might be ormolu underneath but I have been more wrong than right about that stuff and while the screws on the corners look like modern replacements the square nuts look original.

Maybe it has something to do with an Italian Cornicello?

Just looks like a Christmas ornament to me. One more thing to add to carrot, pinecone, critter and flower. It's really lovely.

Some kind of snail shell or seashell...? That's the first thing that popped into my mind when I looked at picture number one.

Though also it could be some kind of a flower bud rolled up tight before it blooms.

That was my first thought, as well! I collect antique Christmas, and the metal bottom looks very similar to some on antique Christmas stands I've seen. Early ones were designed to be used on a table top, and had smaller holes on top for the smaller tree trunks.

Maybe this was made by a company that had interchangeable tops, that were used the rest of the year, and they simply added a different top to a base already sold for Christmas. Just a thought.

Or maybe it's a candle holder specifically for Christmas, to accompany a matching Christmas stand. That's obviously a pine cone finial in the center top, which would be in keeping with a Christmas item.

The big thing is that the Cornicello is a horn, even if it looks like a pepper, while the thing on that lamp is a vegetable motif of some sort.

ACTUALLY, it DOES look like some writing in the RIGHT RED OVAL....'EZRo'...and I can't make out the rest......I think it may also say something in the smaller LEFT OVAL but I'm not positive of that......if you have a Loupe, you might check them out...
