I have some Gorham Chantilly pattern flatware. I know the pattern was introduced in 1895 and they have continued making it for a long time. Is there any possible way to get a date on them? I know there probably isn't but just making sure!

According to Replacements, the marking on the back of Chantilly pieces was changed from the "lion-anchor-G" mark to just the Gorham name in about 1950. But that is the only way I have heard of to even generally date a specific piece.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I am assuming you have probably seen this site:

Chantilly is my pattern too, that I have had since before getting married.....Mom bought the set from a woman in NYC back in the '50s!! The more you click on headings in that link, the deeper in you get!!!!!
