Wondering how to describe this bowl, stamped "JAPAN". Age? Thanks!

I don't recognise it as one of the traditional styles of Japanese art pottery. As it is marked Japan it was likely made for export. Art pottery, especially glaze forms and clay bodies are big business in the home market though, and it is very diverse, hopefully someone else may recognise the form for you.
