Is this alkaline glaze stoneware, a pot or vase, American?

Hi, I can't find anything quite like this. It has a floral raised design and I am probably wrong but a few vaguely similar pieces I found were described as being alkaline glazed stoneware. It stands around 8 inches tall and is around 7.75" in diameter. At first I thought it had an asian look, but researching it, more resembles items made in the United States. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

To me it looks like it was heavily spray painted ?

That was one of my first thoughts, but if so, whoever did it had a pretty steady hand
other than the drips down the sides.

Looks like a Ransburg pottery cookie jar without lid that has had a "hammered" spray paint applied.

Well I'll be darned, that's it alright. Never had heard of Hammered, but I think I will have to keep a can on hand. Any surface, any angle. I'm not sure I care much for either the original or hammered version. Thanks so much for the ID.
