Is this an authentic Nichols & Stone children's rocking chair?

My Mom gave me this children's rocking chair from when she was a child. It looks a lot like a Nichols and Stone, but does not have an imprint that others have. Do you think this is original or a knock-off? Thanks in advance for your help.

In what decade did your mother use this rocker?

My mom was born in 1945. My guess is that a rocker like this would be used by a 4 or 5 year old. ~1950. Does that help?
