OBI 1.jpg I am hoping someone can help me. Is there anything you can tell me about this OBI?...or, at least I think it's an OBI. I'm not quite sure, It measures 42" long (NOT including the ties).

Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

It is fun, but doesn't look like an obi to me.
I don't see how it would work as an obi, as you wrap it around you the tassel on one end disappears underneath the layers. And what would you do with the tassel on the other end? Would you hide it underneath the obi jime? Then what is the point of the tassels?
    Just thinking out loud.:)

Found it,"obi belt",wrapped around tired at the rear in a big bow.Guess it's a somewhat common fashion with slacks.

It does feel "Christmassy" to me too...perhaps 30's/40's design? I have searched and searched and just can't figure this one out!
