Featured Is this an older yellow ware bowl? How do I tell?

    This bowl measures about 8" across the top. Is it yellow ware? How do I tell how old it is? Thanks for any and all help.

    Yellowware is named for the color of the clay from which it is made, according to Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellowware

    In case that information is correct... The chip in the one linked by flipper shows a clay that is sort of a grayish yellow color (hard to tell on my monitor exactly). The little bit of the clay that I can see on yours, @Bookahtoo , appears to be a different color. More of a red tone?

    I don't know but that would make a great bowl for letting dough rise.
