Is this basket quite old?

    An estate sale buy from a real packrat's house. It's 6.25" across and 4" high. It does seem very well made, with faded red and green oldbasket3.jpg oldbasket1.jpg splints. I like it a lot, and it would be nice to have more information.

    Chinese, probably mid-century.
    I have one like it which I use as a lamp, with a battery led-lamp inside.;)
