Is this bronzed copper and what kind of bird is it?

    Hi, I have no clue about this sort of thing. It looks like bronze but the bottom looks like copper with the bronze color a little around the edges. Nobody is quite sure what kind of bird it is though a few have said Heron. It is not marked in any way. It stands about 7 1/8" tall and is quite heavy for being hollow. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

    Yes, it certainly does look like a crane. I actually like the unfinished patina on the bottom more that the bronze/bronzed surface on the bird. Thanks for the help.

    Looks like cast brass to me, I don't see any copper, BWDIK :confused:
