Is this Cival War Horse Bridal Legit?

OK so here is the story. I was taking some scrap metal to the scrap yard today in Dayton, Ohio and where I go they always have a line of the scrappers who push shopping carts around town picking up scrap. They have to wait as the trucks and cars drive through to unload. I was next in line with the window down and one of the guys in line asked me if I like Civil War stuff. I said sure what you got and he pulled out this bridle and two others which look to be older but not complete and with no decoration. My worry is that for 150 year old leather this looks too good. SO how can I tell for sure or can you confirm from these pictures.

I tend to agree with Terry and don't think the ebay one is civil war either. I would guess Indian wars at most but probably quite a bit newer. (I may well be wrong) nice set!!

 

There is one site referring to them as Indian Wars era but this site claiming to be Civil War relic specialists have them but say "I think these are called artillery rosettes" so not a lot of faith

Yeah that is the other things, because of the re enactments it looks like you can still get these made. So does the rest of the bridle as far as the bit and the rest look old enough to be at least legit Indian Wars?

 

The pictures are not good enough to tell. I don't like the look of the buckles. The shiny steel is definitely not that old. The bit should have some markings if military. Really should be something in the leather too if original to the hardware.
