Hello all, got this yesterday, couldn't help myself, saw it and 50 pennies later it was mine.
It's so so pretty. I am pretty sure it's glass wth foil in? Is it 30s ish? or not? x x

The beads are all slightly different shapes and sizes x
    Thank you everyone x x

Much better than foiled. Copper aventurine glass beads. Probably Venetian, could be as early as the thirties given it's short. Good barrel clasp.

Oh my Mrs. B, I know I am preaching to the converted but they are beautiful. Such depth of shine. The more I look at them, the nicer they are. I saw them and loved them but didn't really realise how nice they were til I looked at them properly when I got home. SO SHINY

They could be Venetian, but they could just as easily be Czech.

If they're knotted, I'd plump for Venetian. The clasp looks like it's straight out of the 1950s, so if it's original the beads may be 1950s too. That stringing method isn't 1930s for certain, but they could have been redone if the original cotton died. It does that, often at the worst possible time.

Gorgeous color, sparkle, nice patina on the brass findings, and I like that they're graduated!
