Is This For Toothpicks, Cigarettes??

    Didn't know where to post this. It's wood but not furniture. This piece is 4 1/2" long and 4" tall when his tail is up I've been thinking folk art, trench art or what. I don't think it is mass produced because it has a few hard to see mistakes in the wood design.

    I've had these and seen loads of them. Hand carved, but tourist pieces. My guess was India with that chip carving.

    It's for cigarettes, mid century Soviet - Russian, or Bulgarian, maybe Yugoslavian...
