Is this little bronze guy antique? Is the hole a manufacturer's flaw?

This looks like real bronze, is approx 7 1/2" tall and there is a hole in between the thighs that I was thinking is a production flaw, maybe?? Does the that hole hurt the value? I am thinking it does but I do not know much of anything about bronzes.

    It is very heavy at almost 2 pounds for the size. Could this be an early 20th-century reproduction of the ones I found?

    Any help is very much appreciated.

    The whole thing looks poorly cast,bubbles,lack of cleanup and could have a bad case of porosity.

    this bacchus was offered on ebay as french or italian 1850-1890 for 295$us. no takers.

    an androgynous youth was bacchus. some swollen parts. i think you are noting one sneaking out above the garment...
