Is this Majollica ?

    I have inherited this figure , he does have a basket missing and I have been told he was one of a pair ..the other figure was a girl , the other was lost during world war 11

    The height is approximately 36 inches

    Would love to know if this is definitely majollica and the age and where it came from originally

    It’s fantastic to see what the basket looked like !!! Now i know more about him , I can do a bit of research .
