Is this Vase Red Cinnabar?

    Hi all, I picked up this little vase at an estate sale a while back and was wondering if there is a way to tell if it is real Chinese Cinnabar lacquer? It is 5" tall and brass lined. a spot on the bottom where a sticker was at one time..
