I bought this from a silver scrapper last year in New England. It tests as sterling (or perhaps a little higher) and has no marks. The stones are the color of coral and turquoise. No marks. Width is 5 1/8" and height is 2 5/8". The buckle is contoured; one end is hinged with ribs or threads on the mechanism and the other end has ribs on the tube of silver to mirror the hinge.

Is this buckle from China? What might age be? 1910-1930? Thanks for your help! Chinese_SS_Coral_Turq_Belt_Buckle_SMALL1.JPG Chinese_SS_Coral_Turq_Belt_Buckle_4.JPG Chinese_SS_Coral_Turq_Belt_Buckle_2.JPG

    It is a beauty.:)
It could be from any number of countries. I would include Egypt in the search, they often combine turquoise and coral cabs with filigree appliqué. Turkey too. Check for tiny marks.
It looks much later to me.

Thanks, AJ! I've checked very thoroughly and there are no marks. I'll look into Turkey and Egypt! Google Lens searches came up with China, Tibet and Native American (wrong!) Apparently, it was fixated on the turquoise and coral stones!

In that case it is probably not Egyptian.

I circled three spots where it looks like there could possibly be a mark. I’ll trust that there isn’t since you can see it in person. Those spots look like possibilities though. B23239C7-B2C6-48CD-8EB6-DB1CCC32DBEF.jpeg

Possibly Morocco or Algeria? Definitely has a North African vibe to me. 1950ish?

Nope, none of the circled areas have marks. There are solder marks on the end of the buckle "keepers" and some file marks here and there. I'll look into Algeria and Morocco. Thanks!
