Hi All noticed this at local op shop for 85 dollars was hoping someone could tell me if it's worth buying. Is quite large and has some nice images on it. Not sure if it's printed or hand painted I guess someone will confirm. Appreciate any advice chris 15051098972872.jpg 15051098972511.jpg 15051098971990.jpg

The Japanese Lucky Gods are partly based on Chinese Gods and Chinese iconography of Indian Bodhisattvas, which is why they look Chinese.
The Takarabune treasure ship, which they embark on on New Years eve, is very Japanese, as is the accompanying crane, here at the feet of the Gods.

Any Jewelry, you are absolutely right, it was more the style (especially the faces) that makes me think this vase could be a Chinese product (with Japanese iconography)...

Yes, it can be confusing. They are neighbours after all.

It looks like it was made last week. It's one of those things you buy if you like it and want to live with it. For resale? Probably not, at least if the price is over $20. This one's too much.

Show some close-ups of the bottom of the vase. Is the vase heavy or light?
