ISO Identification Help, Hand Carved Stool, 13.5" x 8.5"

Good morning, Antiquers -

We are looking for some identification help on what we believe is a stool? Origin, age/date, methods, etc. are all welcome. It stands at about 13.5" tall and is about 8.5" in diameter.

I believe your stool was made for sale, and not in a strictly traditional style that I recognize. This makes it difficult to place. It could be West African, but I am leaning more toward the South Pacific region - Indonesia, or perhaps New Guinea. It appears to be fairly recent, and does not show signs of having been used.

 

It also appears to have been produced quickly.
