I've had this for a while and decided to list it on Ebay at last. I'm confused as to where it is from though. The finish looks Italian to me. Fratelli style. However the base states foreign, so is it German perhaps? I've found a couple of similar examples online described as Hungarian.

It looks like it says 20 REIGN - that's as far as I can get as a non-pottie.

I'm quite sure it says 'FOREIGN'

FOREIGN was also used on Italian wares as well as German and Japanese. Legacy of the war.

Oh thats a compote ! Also Italian. Ive been redoing my dining section and Im leaning MCM,though I once hated the style. Its clean lines appeal as I age !

Yup, that’s FF. That weird finish is unmistakable.
