These items I found in my grandfather's lap desk. Not sure what they other than fork and knife. Not even sure if these items are bone plastic or ivory. Thanks for any help!

The May's Washing Powder item looks like it might have been used for agitation of the water to which the powder was added for use? Doesn't appear to have a "measurement" component, does it, like a scoop?

Or perhaps for spreading a paste of the powder, slightly moistened, on to stained areas of clothing?

There was no scoop. I agree with the spreading of a paste on stained areas. What do you think for dating on these items? Must be early 1900's maybe? Thank you again for responding.

Your soap paste spreader (assuming we're correct in its function) would have been the kind of freebie included inside a box of the powder.

I am in the US. I do know the May's Washing Powder Co was in the UK. Thank you for reply.

Here are enlarged pictures of your items plus one I took off the internet. Even though it advertises washing soap, I think it's a page turner like the one I show here.

I get it! Could have been a promotional gift from the company May's. There actually was an item on ebay from same co totally unrelated to co with name May's on said item. Do not think this UK May's Co was in business very far into the 1900's.

Bev, how long is that last item you posted a photo of and what is it made of? It looks very much like the lefse turning sticks I have. They're about 18" or longer and I've only seen wooden ones.
