Jacobean?

    Hi All. Can someone please put some details of the origin and date of this sideboard/dresser. I believe that there was a top portion which is now absent (peg holes in top) Regards

    Looks like a victorian version of "jacobean revival" with north wind faces which were popular in that era, probably english.

    Garry, if you go back to your post, select edit, and then select full image all, your pictures will coe up full sized.

    Nice piece with that amount of carving and hand dovetailing. Last fall I bought this Flemish/Jacobean ? chair which I believe to also be a 19th c. revival type piece, in walnut w/ carved arms and fully pegged construction which makes for a neat chair for $60., despite this style being out of favor with some. s-l300 (1).jpg
