My gemologist tested this and identified it as jadeite jade. He would not give a value or age as jade is not his area of expertise.
Can anyone tell me if this has any value? I'm not looking for a dollar amount, just something general, like, it's trash, throw it in a lot, or it has some value and may be worth listing as an individual item.
    Thanks for any thoughts.

Lovely bangle, drg. There are quite a few on ebay, that would be a place to look for prices.

That one is heavier than drg's, so more jade.:)

I learn every day. Thank you. So DRG should give us the weight and size?
This one seems skinnier at $101 and 2 bids, but they only give size not weight

If it's being bought to wear, I wonder if buyers would care about the amount of jade? If I were buying a bangle like this, I'd actually prefer a slimmer one since it would weigh less and not bump into things as much.

When I was in China on a tour, we went to a jade shop and these were being sold to mainly Chinese women, who apparently wear these according to the stories to protect them from harm and from mothers to daughters. I didn't even try one on because I would have broken it before I left the store. They seemed very popular. I think size is an issue because it is supposed to be worn close to the wrist. They weren't cheap. So your original question, as to whether to throw it away or sell it, I think you could expect to sell it. Please wait for others to weigh in though, as I am no expert.

Jade is really tricky to identify and to apraise...
It could be jadeite jade, but to know if it has been treated, bleached, colored then resin impregnated is another pair of sleeves as the French saying...
Google for jade A, B or C categories

I know jade can be a mine field for the inexperienced, which I surely am.
I don't really know how he tested it. He has a several pieces of equipment he uses. He's pretty good and when he's unsure of something, he says so.
