Featured Jade Cross

    Hi all....found one more "good piece" in mom's jewelry box--almost everything was cheap costume;) . While I have found similar ones online..none with exact center.. Cross is 1 1/2" long..capped ends. Bale is marked 14K and there seems to be another mark..either a "Z" or "N" which I could not photo. I do know it is an older piece..and maybe purchased on one of mom's trips in the 60s-70s.

    It is gorgeous, Janette.
    It wouldn't be NZ would it? The jade looks like either New Zealand jade or Canada jade.

    All I see is the one letter ..Z or N. Yes--I saw the Macy one ...and lots of others..but none had the same center..mine has "ribs" for lack of better description.

    Also--the coloring is more like the close up..lighter color. pics not good..camera battery was dying..lucky I got those 2 !!!

    I know what you mean, and thicker gold too, much nicer. I would guess from New Zealand, rather than Canada.

    I'd say BC jade. I saw these on sale out there: apparently, much of the carving is done in China, from what the fellow at the HUGE jade shop told be.

    Hi again...I think I will be listing on Ebay...any suggestions on category? Fine Jewlery..Neck and Pend...Gemstone ??? or ??? Any good key words?

    Yes--but we all know how crappy Ebay prices are...:rolleyes::rage:
    I usually list with make an offer (but hate the ridiculously low offers I often get!:facepalm:...but wondering if I just put a decent price on it with no BO and hope for the best . If it doesn't sell ...so be it...

    I love it. I would love to own a piece of jade that wasn't some broken bit. ;)
    It's just not in my future, I'm trying to downsize... ;)
